Happening to look at the Little Free Library at Midgely Corner today, I saw a hardbound book, VB6 by Mark Bittman. Had I not known of Mark Bittman as a food writer for the New York Times, I might have supposed this was a book on the programming language Visual Basic 6, which commonly is known as VB6. No doubt Bittman has interests beyond food, but VB6 has been out of support since 2008, and the book looked fairly new.
In this case, I found, "VB6" means "Vegan Before 6". The full title is VB6: Eat Vegan Before 6:00 to Lose Weight and Restore Your Health ... For Good. Well, I had probably rather eat a vegan diet before 6 pm than program in VB6: programmer polls used to list it among the most-dreaded computer languages. (Actually, my only real experience with VB was with VB.NET, and that wasn't so bad.)
